Bhagavad Gītā Study NotebookLM

Google NotebookLM

NotebookLM is an AI-powered research and content organization tool by Google that helps users streamline their workflow, enhance learning, and boost creativity. As a research assistant, NotebookLM’s advantage is being source-grounded. This helps deliver more accurate answers and insights based on your actual material — reducing the likelihood of AI errors and hallucinations. – Google

Using NotebookLM, one can create guided Vedanta study materials to generate mind maps, flash cards, infographics, interactive queries and more – all based on sources you upload.

Please check out a Bhagavad Gītā Study NotebookLM created by Swamiji – HERE.
(please note – you will have to be logged in to a Google account to access)
(suggested browser: Google Chrome)

This Notebook created by Swamiji was based on Bhagavān Bhāṣyakāra Śrī Ādi Śaṅkarācārya ji’s Gītā Bhāṣyam and Pujya Swami Dayananda Saraswati’s Gītā Home Study course as the sources. One can ask questions by directly chatting with the Notebook, as well as view created study materials from the Studio.

Please note – while you can interact via chat with this shared notebook, you can only view the already created assets. However, if you create your own NotebookLM, you will be able to generate your own study assets.

Steps to Create your own Bhagavad Gītā Bhāṣya Study NotebookLM

  1. Go to notebooklm.google
  2. Click the “Try NotebookLM” button
  3. (Log in to your Google Account if you have not already done so)
  4. Click the “+ Create new” button
(This will take you to your newly created Notebook, where you will be prompted to add new sources for the Notebook to work with.)
  5. Click the “Drive” button (embedded in the larger box with the text “or drop your files”)
  6. Paste and enter the URL https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/150RNiXORmebg-ZM1VyetR92_kF-2DYA_?usp=sharing into the Search box (which has the text “Search in Drive or paste URL”)
  7. Open the folder “Shared GHS NotebookLM Files”, then open the folder “Files to Upload to Your NotebookLM”
  8. Select all 19 files, then click the “Insert” button
  9. After all of the files are successfully uploaded, a name will be generated for your new Notebook.
If you would like to change this name, click the title given in the upper left-hand corner and type in the new name of your choosing.

With these steps, you will have created your own Bhagavad Gītā Study NotebookLM based on Śrī Ādi Śaṅkarācārya ji’s Gītā Bhāṣyam and its translation by Swami Gambhirananda. With this, you can now use the “Studio” on the right-side of the notebook to create your own study materials such as Mind Maps, Flashcards, Quizzes, and more.
